Different Types Of Hair Transplant Treatments Available In India

Hair loss and pattern baldness can be hereditary and affects several young men and women. This could lead to a loss of confidence due to the impact it has on one’s appearance. However, re-growing hair on a hairless scalp can now be achieved. Thanks to the advancement of science and technology, hair transplant has become an available and affordable technique to get back your lost hair. The different types are:

1. Direct Hair Implantation: The most advanced hair transplantation procedure is Direct Hair Implantation (DHI). Hair follicles are taken one by one from the donor area with a very tiny extractor with a diameter of 1mm or less in DHI. The hair is then implanted directly on the treatment area using a single-use implanter. The implanter from DHI gives surgeons complete control over depth, angle, and direction, resulting in natural-looking outcomes.

Unlike FUE and FUT operations, which are mainly conducted by technicians, the DHI technique is always performed by certified surgeons.

2. Follicular Unit Transplantation: FUT is a surgical process where hair is transplanted from the permanent zone, the area in the back and sides of the scalp where hair is more resistant to balding, to the bare or balding portions of the head. Follicular units, which are naturally occurring groups of 1, 2, 3, or 4 hairs, are used to achieve this. After anesthesia is administered to the patient’s scalp, the doctor extracts a strip of tissue from the donor area, which is located within the permanent zone. The donor strip is then sliced into many individual follicular units using microscopic dissection techniques. The doctor prepares the follicular unit grafts by making tiny holes in the scalp called recipient sites, where the grafts will be inserted.

3. Follicular Unit Extraction: In a follicular unit hair transplant technique, Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a method of extracting, or “harvesting,” donor hair. A tiny, circular incision in the skin around a follicular unit is used to separate it from the surrounding tissue in this procedure. After that, the unit is withdrawn from the scalp, leaving a little open hole. This procedure is repeated until the hair transplant surgeon has obtained enough follicular units to complete the hair restoration procedure. The donor wounds, which are about a millimeter in diameter, heal entirely in seven to ten days, leaving small white scars buried in the hair on the back and sides of the scalp.

4. Platelet Rich Plasma: A non-surgical technique, PRP is the most successful therapy for hair loss. It involves the use of platelets and growth factors from your own blood to assist inactive hair follicles to move back into the growth phase. It has gained popularity for treating patterned hair loss, thinning of the hair, and receding hairline. PRP is non-invasive and does not involve the addition of follicles in the target area. PRP helps with the reactivation of dormant hair follicles and stimulates hair growth, unlike a transplant, which provides dramatic results.

These different types of treatments are economically priced, extremely effective and done under professional supervision. Hair loss can be embarrassing for everyone, and these can help you get rid of the problem of hair loss. To obtain the hair transplant treatment in Gurgaon, book an appointment today!
